The Entrée in Amsterdam is the renovated city-centre side of Amsterdam Central Station. The renovation of the Entrée was a large-scale project which focused on a sustainable upgrading of the city centre including the redesign of the city-centre side of Amsterdam Central Station. A bicycle tunnel connects the metro entrance with the bicycle park (7000 bicycles), which is located approximately 9 meters beneath the water surface.
MORE PICTURESAggéres installed modular stoplogs at the entrance of the bicycle tunnel. The flood barrier, 6 meters wide and 3.75 meters high, closes off the bicycle tunnel on 4 sides if the water rises.
