The ‘Zeepreventorium’ recovery centre has a hidden tunnel under the dunes with access from the beach. As part of the Beaufort 03 art project, this tunnel was decorated in 2009 with murals by Chilean artists assisted by children staying at the ‘Zeepreventorium’.
MORE PICTURESSince the tunnel lies very low, it is completely closed off from the water during storm and high tide in order to keep it dry.
